Do I need the same gear in The Tone Course?+
No. We demonstrate on a wide variety of specific amps, pedals and mics, both pro and budget, showing you what each piece is doing so you can apply the same thinking to whatever you own.
Is this just a bunch of settings to copy?+
No. We teach method, not specific settings. What works in our studio won't necessarily be exactly what works on your rig, which is why the goal is to show you how to find the perfect setting for yourself.
I've been playing for years. Is this still for me?+
Yes! In fact, experienced players often need this most. You can get very good at guitar without anyone ever explaining why your rig sounds harsh, muddy, thin, or completely different on stage. Playing and understanding tone are two different skills; this is the second one.
Will this help if I'm on a Helix, Fractal or another modeler?+
Yes. Everything in the course translates directly to Helix, Fractal, or any modeler. Module 9 shows you how to take the same tone principles into the digital world and get great results without endlessly tweaking.
