Hey, I'm Jeffrey Kunde.
When I was 12, my mom handed me a guitar and I thought, "This is it. This is the only thing I want to do with my time." She actually tried to talk me out of it. Said everybody plays guitar, told me to be different and pick something else.
I didn't listen.
By 14 I was teaching myself songs by rewinding CDs over and over, hunting for notes by ear. That obsession turned into a Bachelor's degree in music from Cal State Sacramento, a career as a professional session musician, and eventually a Grammy nomination.
I've played stages in front of 50k+ people, and in studios on Grammy-nominated albums as both producer and musician.
I co-founded The Guitar Institute, which has helped over 200,000 guitarists learn to play. And I wrote the Beginnings series because I remember exactly what it felt like to be a total beginner... and I know most teaching methods make it way harder than it needs to be.
